Kellam and McCarthy confirm they will contest the council election | Oberon Review

JUST two sitting councillors have confirmed their plans to contest the Oberon local government election in September.

Councillors Mark Kellam and Clive McCarthy will be seeking re-election when the community goes to the polls on Saturday, September 4.

Three more councillors – Mick McKechnie, Don Capel and Ian Doney – said they were still considering their position while the Oberon Review was unable to get a response from councillors Kathy Sajowitz, Kerry Gibbons, Brenda Lyon and Andrew McKibbin about their plans.

Cr McKechnie said contesting the next election should be a priority for all the current councillors.
